Heath Hyche was bitten by the acting bug when he wore a giant orange costume as his high school’s mascot, even though the school’s nickname was the Vikings. He won “The Funniest Person on Campus” contest.  From there Hyche performed at an open-mic audition at the Birmingham Comedy Club and has been working standup ever since.

He quickly made a name for himself in the comedy circuit, headlining the Comedy Store in Vegas and other major comedy clubs in the country. He was in big demand as an opening act for such stars as Gloria Estafan, Liza Minelli, The Beach Boys, the Pointer Sisters, Chuck Berry and Rodney Dangerfield.
