Kevin took time to speak with Sacramento Comedy.Com about his upbringing, his early ascent into comedy clubs, his appearances in more than 60 feature movies, the “Kevin Pollak Chat Show” and his newest online venture, “Vamped Out.” Pollak has called stand-up comedy his first love, what “feeds the beast.” We asked him to elaborate.

Darren Carter, a freckle faced, red headed, pastie skinned youngster was raised in a predominately Latino area of Fresno, California. As he points out in his act, put a pair of dark rimmed glasses on the redhead and he was quickly dubbed “the Rooster” and the name followed him throughout his childhood. It was there that Carter learned to rap, break dance and use comedy as his method of acceptance into the neighborhood.
